Workshops

The CSS National Dialog solicited submissions of projects, plans, and programs for consideration as featured case studies from May through July of 2009.  Over 90 submissions were received from 30 states, demonstrating a breadth and depth of understanding about the CSS Principles and growing expertise in applying those principles.

The workshops will be fully documented and the documentation will be made widely available to promote, strengthen, and broaden the interest in Context Sensitive Solutions, and to foster a "community of CSS practice."

The workshops are organized by the Federal Highway Administration and supported by the Center for Transportation and the Environment, a university-based transportation center housed at North Carolina State University. Workshops are funded by the Federal Highway Administration’s Office of Planning, Environment and Realty’s Surface Transportation Environment and Planning Cooperative Research Program (STEP).
